Therefore What?

"President Boyd K. Packer of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles is known to have asked, 'Therefore, what?' at the end of meetings with the Quorum of the Twelve in order to inspire discussion on how the topic at hand could be applied to change people’s lives (see Jeffrey R. Holland, 'Therefore, What?' [CES Conference on the New Testament, Aug. 8, 2000]). At the end of each learning experience, ask yourself “Therefore, what?” and think about how you might personally apply the topics and principles discussed.
"To conclude this learning experience, write down some things you will do based on the principles you have learned today" (Source)

This is your chance to put into action the discoveries you have made and the personal insights you have gained. Consider reading, listening to, or watching the full articles cited if you want to expand this experience.

Also consider diving into these resources. The following comes from Jaci Wightman's website. I cannot emphasis or invite you enough to go to Jaci's website for even more details to begin to put Raphah Yada into immediate practice:

TALKING TO [CHRIST] PERSONALLY & LISTENING for HIS VOICE IN RETURN (see tons more notes, scriptures, and quotes about this on her website)

Brigham Young: “The greatest and most important of all requirements of our Father in heaven and of his Son Jesus Christ, is . . . to believe in Jesus Christ, confess him, seek to him, cling to him, make friends with him. Take a course to open and to keep open communication with your Elder Brother or file-leader—our Savior” (Journal of Discourses, 8:339).

D&C 6:14-15, 21-22 “thou hast inquired of me” and “you cried unto me in your heart” (Jaci points out that "v. 21 makes it clear it’s Christ talking, not the Father").

Have you ever thought about that?! You can literally bring Christ along with you wherever you go like the best friend, rock, and constant power source God intends Him to be for you. You can talk to Him. You can learn to listen to His voice and come to recognize the ways He speaks to you personally.

Consider reading, watching, or listening to this talk by William R. Bradford, entitled “Unclutter Your Life.” This would be an awesome one to go over with your notebook and pen in hand. The first step to learning “to fish for yourself” like those seagulls is a commitment to set aside time to be still. Like Elder Ballard and Sister Wixom suggested, you need some uncommitted quiet time for yourself every day.  I don’t know your commitments and schedule, but God does.  Your challenge is to figure out how to make this work and to DO IT.  Is there something that immediately comes to your mind that you could cut out or shuffle around to give yourself even 5 or 10 minutes to be still? You may need to let this sit, but don’t forget to come back to it! Be honest with yourself! Get as creative as you need to. Remember God can help you think through this if you invite Him in on this conversation, so don’t forget to take this to Him.
